How to choose medical-grade biologics: 6 questions before bringing them into your practice
Certificates, traceability, cold chain and scientific backing: what every physician should check before choosing a regenerative therapy supplier.

Interest in regenerative medicine grows every year, and so does the range of biological products. For physicians, choosing well is no small matter: product quality matters as much as the technique used to apply it.
Before bringing exosomes, cell therapies or other biologics into your practice, it is worth asking yourself these six questions.
01Six questions for choosing well
- 1
Does it have a Certificate of Analysis per lot?
A medical-grade product should come with a certificate documenting its identity, purity and safety. Always ask for it and check that it matches the lot you are going to use.
- 2
Can I trace its origin?
Traceability tells you where each vial comes from, how it was processed and whose hands it passed through. It is the foundation of safe, responsible use.
- 3
How is it stored and transported?
Many biologics require strict temperature conditions. Ask how the cold chain is guaranteed from the laboratory to your practice.
- 4
What scientific backing does it have?
Look for products based on published evidence and developed with documented manufacturing protocols, not just commercial promises.
- 5
Does it comply with health regulations?
Check that the supplier and the product comply with the health regulations that apply in your country. If in doubt, ask the supplier directly for the documentation.
- 6
Will they train and support me?
A good supplier does more than sell a product: they train you to apply it ethically, safely and effectively, and they support you afterwards.
